MY JOURNEY
My story is rooted in my identity, where I was raised, and the people I admire in my life.
This foundation led to a career and personal life dedicated to fighting for social justice.
For me, running for the Council At-Large position as an independent isn't a career move—it’s the natural culmination of a lifelong commitment to all people, especially the most vulnerable in our communities.
I believe that the strength of DC lies within each unique neighborhood, and that we must build a DC that works for everyone.
MY PLATFORM
The cost of living has increased to the point where most people cannot afford basic things and have to sacrifice and make do without just to survive the day. I know this from the stories people have told me about their lives and my own experiences living in one of the most expensive regions in the country.
We know that when people have the resources they need, everyone will thrive. My goal is to work strategically to make life in DC affordable through policy changes and regulatory oversight to reduce the cost of housing, utility bills, and public transit fares.
My platform is built on transparency and accountability, responsible budgeting, and a commitment to DC autonomy.
